Volunteers Assisting Worship

There are many opportunities to assist with weekly worship. Click here to sign up online or call the church office to learn more.

Lectors/Readers
Those who enjoy proclaiming the scripture are needed to help read the first and second lessons during worship.  Please contact Laura Pejsha, lector coordinator to volunteer.

Acolytes
Students who are in 5th grade or above can serve as acolytes during worship services, on a scheduled rotation. Acolyte duties include lighting the candles, receiving the offering, and assisting with communion. Training is provided.

Crucifers
High school students are needed to serve as Crucifers during the Entrance Procession during special festival worship services.

Ushers
Ushers help provide a warm welcome to arriving worshipers, assist with seating, gather the worship offering, and direct the congregation during the reception of Holy Communion. Ushering provides a good opportunity for individuals, couples, and families to both participate in worship and become better acquainted with others in this congregation. If you are interested in this ministry, please contact the church office. Training is provided under the mentoring of current ushers. If you have ushered in the past and would be willing to help with this ministry again, please let the office know.

Altar Guild
This ministry involves preparing the altar for communion at worship services, setting up the baptismal font when needed, and cleaning up after worship. Altar care is a good way of serving “behind the scene.” Please contact the church office  if you are interested in learning about altar care and we will arrange for you to be mentored by a current altar care server. If you have participated in this ministry in the past and would be willing to help out with it again

Communion Ministers
This ministry involves helping with the distribution of communion durring worship. No sign up is needed for assisting with this part of worship. Training is peridodically avalible for those who would like it.
